Welcome to Multilingual Montessori!

I’m Gabrielle Kotkov, an AMI 3-6 Montessori Guide and certified TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) instructor, with a Master of Science in Child Studies. I’ve taught in schools in New York City, London, Italy (Bologna & Catania), and Austin, Texas. I speak English, Italian, French, and a bit of Spanish.

As a Montessori teacher with a background in teaching English, I have always been interested in the intersection of Montessori education and multiple language acquisition. I started Multilingual Montessori in 2020 when I found that there weren’t many resources for parents and educators interested in exploring this topic.

You can find out more about me by reading this interview on the American Montessori Society’s blog and by listening to Episode 20 of the Multilingual Montessori Podcast: How Multilingual Montessori Came to Be (An Interview with Me!)

I was also a guest on the Montessori Moms in the Wild Podcast, the Talking to Grandma Podcast and the Montessori Babies Podcast.

You can find more resources from Multilingual Montessori on Instagram, LinkedIn, and on the Multilingual Montessori Podcast.
